I soon found loch Rannoch and that’s where I had to bid farewell to a decent b class road. The road took me round Schiehallion, the highest mountain or Munro in Perthshire at just over 3547 feet and the namesake of my house in Applecross. The road was littered with sheep, wandering around minding their own business which given the economy I think they may be short lived. The road was very narrow and to be honest not even If I was pissed could I have drawn a line like they have. Never out of third gear for miles round and round up and down, a great road for a bike but for a car a wee bit testing, however I was enjoying it to the max as I was out in the wild with buzzards flying around as common as the house sparrow. Soon Schiehallion loomed like a giant against the sky, big ragged and hard faced hewen with granite and rock formed from an age long long ago.
