A couple of years ago I was sunning myself with cousin Tim in the Napa valley, drowning our thirst with some exquisite wine and some not so nice. We came across a winery called clos du Val which I am warning you now is laden with preservatives. Whilst I was there I noticed that the grapes were ready to be picked, there were no nets, no weeds, and no insects and birds and the person behind the bar was trying to tell me that they do not use pesticides etc. I asked if they were having a laugh which did not go down well, they just don’t appreciate the irony. Having said all that, I did like some of their wine and I purchased a 2003 cab sav, well I opened it before I left to come here and after the first glass it blew my nose, bloody thing started running like it was in the Olympics. I reached for my trusty blue pill that immediately puts everything right with my NOSE and continued to sample the wine which tasted good but the sulpher content was too high for me. I’ll post a pic so you can avoid it if your on the silverado trail.
Did I mention the wine
