Fond Memories

Wel a lot has happened since I last wrote, I know you thought I’d been put away due to the severe hair cut. Well let say I did get clocked twice as I entered immigration in GB, yes its fucking GB not the UK.
The trip was to be a surprise for my Mother for Christmas as she was suffering Cancer so I thought I would surprise her, well lets say I got the surprise as she acquired an infection whilst in hospital and sadly it took her life. I have seen death in life many many times due to a past profession, but this was the hardest thing I have ever faced. Writing a eulogy about your mother is hard, where do you start, what do you include, emotions run wild and forget pen and paper as paper gets soggy too easy. I had to compose two, one for the Kirk and the other for the Crematorium as some people will only manage to get to one, well its was minus 17.
Standing at the Kirk greeting all who came, which was a large amount of people despite the ice and cold was a challenge as I have been away for 25 years and although people recognised me sadly time had eroded my memories of them.
The hardest thing is saying goodbye, as the piper plays a solemn lament and your mothers coffin makes its one way journey you know this is the end, as I said it is the hardest thing I have done.
